What playing this feels like

The monkey crosses gaps by stretching an arm out to the next branch, and the length of that arm depends entirely on how long the press is held. Too short and it never arrives; too long and it sails past the branch entirely. That single decision repeats for the whole run.

Branch spacing changes every time and no measurement is ever displayed, so a private sense of scale has to be built through failure. That is the charm of the genre: after a while the judgement stops being verbal and simply becomes accurate.

The overall pace is slower than the runners on the same shelf, since every gap involves a pause to judge it. It suits wanting something unhurried that still carries real pressure, because one bad press ends the attempt just as decisively.
