What playing this feels like
Two games are stacked inside this one. Half of it is jumping gaps in a side-scrolling run; the other half is shooting whatever plants itself in the path. The awkward part is that both happen at once, on buttons under different hands.
Early on the hands tangle, because the brain wants to do one thing at a time and the pace refuses to allow it. What breaks the deadlock is treating the pair as a single sequence rather than two jobs — shoot while airborne, jump the instant the boots touch down. Once that order clicks, the whole thing turns from confusing to fluid almost immediately.
The western scenery is not just decoration either: long shadows on pale sand hint at the height of an obstacle before it fully arrives. Experienced runs lean on that without noticing, and it is often the difference between a run that goes somewhere and one that ends in the first stretch.
